Harold Shin

Chief Technology Officer

Harold Shin is the Humanities Chief Technology Officer and leads the Network & Server Group for Center for Digital Humanities. His main responsibility is overseeing the server and network infrastructure services. Since 1995 Harold has worked for various groups on campus such as CTS (now ITS), Housing & Hospitality Services, and Corporate Financial Services. Center for Digital Humanities has been his home department since 2007. Harold is a graduate of the UCLA Professional Development Program (2005) and a past president and board member of UCLA BruinTech. Inspired by his supervisor, Harold has become a bi-modal commuter (from Culver City) where he takes the bus and rides his bike to and from campus. Harold appreciates both the challenges and benefits of working for a university where no two days are alike.
