Title: An Overview of SAS Studio and Tools for Using SAS More Efficiently

Time: 10AM-11AM

Location: Math Sciences 5628 IDRE Portal

Abstract:

SAS® University Edition is available at no cost to students, educators, and learners for academic, noncommercial use, making it easier than ever to access and learn SAS® software. One of the interfaces included with SAS University Edition is SAS® Studio, a browser-based application that runs on all three major operating systems.  In addition to furnishing a code editor, SAS Studio includes a variety of features to help you use SAS more efficiently.  For example, SAS Studio provides graphical user interfaces to many of the commonly used analytical methods, which are presented as “tasks.” These tasks enable users to obtain results much more quickly and easily. The underlying SAS® code is automatically generated in real time and can be used as a learning tool, a building block for further analysis, or a member of a larger analytical pipeline. SAS University Edition also includes the popular Juptyer Notebook interface. This interface can be used to generate reproducible, dynamic documents that easily incorporate SAS code and results into course materials and reports for clients. This presentation highlights recently developed tools that enable you to more efficiently use SAS.
